Hello Everyone! My name is Maya Abrams and I am a graduate student, studying music business at Syracuse University! I am also a recent graduate of the University of Miami, attaining a B.S.C. in Media Management, which provided me the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in other sectors of entertainment. I am so excited for the opportunity to connect with so many inspiring women in the industry, and look forward to sharing both professional and personal connections.

Seeing that majority of my professional experience has existed in the fields of digital marketing and publicity, I have had the opportunity to complete tasks on the scale writing press releases, negotiating an artist’s placement on a television show, conducting brand outreach of an artist’s new single for placement, and helping promotional brand partnerships.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.
