She Is The Music

About Alexandra Powell

I'm an independent singer/songwriter, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Since the tender age of 4, I have been honing my craft as a skillful vocalist with inspirations such as Sarah McLachlan, Celine Dion, Jewel, Patsy Cline and Linda Ronstadt, among many others. I have shared the stage with various musicians in the Cincinnati area and I'm currently working on an independent solo project featuring all original works.

Alexandra's Experience

I have been singing since I was 4 years old and have worked hard to develop my vocal talents primarily on my own. I am self-taught with the exception of 2020 when I worked with a professional vocal coach for 6 months.

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
