She Is The Music

About Amber James

Coming up by starting with regularly shooting both local and touring bands at venues in Rochester, NY, for promoters, I began networking with numerous bands to create more work. Graduating from college with a degree in graphic design and photography in 2011, the journey towards today began. Traveling throughout the northeast to capture photos, my relationships with bands grew. Nowadays, I am available not only for photo and video work with bands as well as tours, but also weddings, senior photos, portrait/concept work, commercial work and photojournalism.

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
