Russian Australian born indie solo singer-songwriter of pop genre. A poet at heart, who later picked up the guitar and naturally progressed to songwriting. Released debut EP titled LINES 2016. 2 songs of which were finalists in the Australian Independent Music Awards. annushkasempire worked with several talented producers globally to complete this maiden project, including Pete Maher &Steve Belgrave, Joseph VanBuren @ Sykophunk & Mike Beever. Worked on the unreleased indie animated film The Hairy Claw Of Grafton Moor soundtrack with its creator UK acclaimed painter artist-producer Ralph Shephard, writing the theme song together. Further soundtrack work is definately a long-term goal. Currently working on first full album & learning production. annushkasempire has chosen the umbrella of the pop tag as it lends itself to diversity of sound. With no formal music training she never saw this as much of a disadvantage but rather an advantage, as not knowing what the boundaries should be gives her freedom to just create a song the way it naturally flows out of her. She also has long held an interest in the music of the 1930s-60s of America, and may even release an album in the future of covers of this era, or pen some originals of this genre.
