ARLARA's Experience

Not so many years ago, I wanted to start producing while suddenly I met a friend that was making remixes of artists we both liked and I was like “That’s how I could start producing easily, so I can practice. There’s no need now for an artist/original song to start”. I started it as a “hobby” while I was studying music production, but then I realized I was finding my sound and practicing for the real thing while promoting myself, that made me gain followers that liked the same artists; a community, a guild. You know when a band starts playing covers here and there and if they’re good and professional, they gain close followers and build a community, so when they released something original, they are already set up. Well, part of it has already happened to me. I think it’s a great way to start, so your original music doesn’t get unnoticed and also it makes you get your head straight and create something valuable or original for your project. Even tho I haven’t released something “official” yet (but I’ve already made), that doesn’t invalidates the skills I have earned and realizations of how many things work in reality. This made me gain skills as if I was producing something professional and made my work cross borders, because I always saw my remixes as if I was producing them to the artist or in a professional way. Made me build my own method, an organization as if I was doing something professional.
