About Azalea Segura-Mora

I am studying Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts Major, Music at the University of California, San Diego. I am gaining skills in audio production as well as learning about various topics in music and art technology. I aim to become a performing music artist. I created a band with other UCSD members called 'alegrías'. I am the lead singer, cellist, and lyricist. We create our own music and record songs with the help of the school radio station on campus. I love collaborating with all types of music artists. I’m a part of the audio engineer internship hosted by the UCSD radio station which has given me hands-on experience using digital audio workstations and recording live studio sessions.

Azalea's Experience

I have been the lead singer and lyricist for my band ‘alegrias’. We’ve been recognized for our music by KCRW Young Creators Project and the NPR Tiny Desk Tour in LA! Recently by KVCR to get an interview. Exciting news for us as creators! I continue to create with many collaborators in lyric writing and singing. The skills that I’ve gained from my college radio (KSDT) audio engineer internship have taught me how to record live studio sessions and furthermore how to mix and master the audio tracks afterwards. I have used these skills to help other bands of my college and my own included to record their music and put it out.
