The violist Audrey Monfils has performed as a chamber and orchestral musician in France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Austria, the UK, Canada and the USA in major concert venues including the Royal Albert Hall (UK), die Elbphilharmonie (Germany), le Flagey (Belgium). She played with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Symphoniker Hamburg and the Chineke! Orchestra among others. During her studies she took part in the BBC Proms, the Bolzano Festival and the Salzburg Festival as a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester conducted by Sir Colin Davis. Always in search of new experiences she participated in collaborations outside of the classical music world: recordings of the music of short movies and pop music albums, concert of « chanson française » in L’Olympia in Paris. Her passion for music also led her to teach the viola and the violin and work as coordinator for international music camps in France and in Germany. She recently became a certified Yoga teacher to share the wisdom of Yoga with her fellow musicians. She studied in France as a student of Françoise Gnéri and earned a master’s degree in Brussels as a student of Paul de Clerck. She also enjoyed masterclasses with Yuri Bashmet, Antonello Farulli and Marjolein Dispa.
