About Bettine Solf

I am a Peruvian Actor / Singer-Songwriter based in London, UK. My professional debut was in 2013 with my first solo album: Soy Opuesta. As I continued with solo performances across Peru, such as opening for Julieta Venegas (International Mexican Singer-Songwriter), I was also the bass player of Peruvian bands Stereonoiz and Resplandor (opening for both The Killers and The Cure, respectively). Alongside my singer-songwriter career I developed my acting career whilst in Peru. Mamma Mia!, San Mateo, Bare, and Apartados are among my credits. In 2016 I moved to London to pursue my professional path. I trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and at Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts, where I received her Masters in ‘Performance - Acting’. My London credits include: Handbag at Home (2020), Barrio -Southwark Playhouse (2018- 2019) Glass Ceiling // Sky’s The Limit (Catalyst Festival-2019), the debut of my single “Breathe In” where she both co-directed and starred in the video (2020) and the release of my recent EP " Map The Gaps" now on media platforms. I have also performed in Police Cops: The musical (New Diorama) and for Run to The Nuns @ Brighton Fringe Festival and Bitesize Festival - London 2023. www.bettinesolf.com

Bettine's Experience

I have recorded two EPs. In the most recent one, “Map The Gaps”, I was in charge of the pre production engaging with the drum, rhythm, vocals and arrangement sections. I also recorded most of the vocals as well as keyboard and keys. For the media content, I both co-directed and starred in the video of one of the songs ” Breathe In”. I have also edited the video of the new single (to be released) “Stop Breathing”. I have performed in Festivals, Stadiums, small venues in Peru, USA and the UK (where I currently reside). I have also done stage work in which I have intersected both my work as an actor and musician. For my thesis “Breaking binds and building bonds: Repairing intergenerational relationships through feminist performance” I made use of the spoken word around monologues whilst gravitating on and off songs that would express the necessary emotions. One is on the new EP (My song) and the other one was writing specially for the show.
