Hi I’m Caitlin Johnson, go by CJ on the radio. I recently relocated from Florida to host Afternoon drive for the Country station The New 93Q in Houston, Texas. I also host afternoons for a Top 40 station in Jacksonville, Florida 95.1 WAPE. I’ve been in radio for the past 8 years working my way up from sales assistant, through the ranks on air and in programming. I’ve learned from and made many friends in the radio industry and on the label side throughout the years. Both men and women, but especially women, have been my advocates and connected me to opportunities so far in my career. I feel the honor and responsibility to pass those things on to my peers and to the ladies just getting started. It’s also made me fall in love with women supporting women. It’s crucial. I just wrapped a year long Women on the Rise program within my company - designed to help accelerate the careers of high potential young women in radio programming. We also discussed the glaring issue that there are so few of us in Program Director positions across the country, why that might be and how it may be effecting radio. I love the mission of She is the Music. I would love to support in any way I can. ❤️
