Lucia "CALU"'s Experience

I spend most of my time in the studio understanding what a vocal performance needs. That means mic placement, pre-production coaching, capturing takes that feel alive, and then knowing which one actually serves the song—not just technically perfect, but emotionally honest. I work across Latin, pop, and reggaeton. Each genre demands different things from the voice, so I’m constantly learning how to shape sound for different artists and their visions. Live sound taught me how to think fast and adapt. Studio work taught me how to listen deeper. Songwriting reminds me why any of this matters, it’s all in service of the song. I’m at 5020 Studios Miami now, which is where I get to bring all of this together every day.
