She Is The Music

About Cate Lopez

I am a musician (a vocalist and violinist) from New Mexico who has always loved helping others on their musical paths. It has always been my dream to work for Universal Music Group in A&R or as a publisher, and I hope to get started on building my path to the company next year during college. Currently, I love giving music lessons, song-writing, performing in mariachi groups, and learning more about different music platforms.

Cate's Experience

I perform with 3 mariachi groups and song-write on my own time. I’ve also played fiddle and classical music on the violin and can sing in the musical theatre, classical, and pop genres. What I love most about learning so many different genres is all of the connections that I am able to build through them.

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
