Hello! My name is Fatima, but I go by the artistname Effayé. I am a female from Sweden that does "music from the soul"; Often wise, when I do music, I have a motto I go after. "Drugs, but without drugs" - when it feels like that, that's when I know "Yes!!! we've done it". I've been singing since I was a child, after spending those summer days inside watching MTV. My first CD was "Shakira - Laundry Service" and after watching her music videos on MTV, I felt enlightened and that's the first time I really felt the magic and thought to myself "Wow I want to do that". The video was Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever". That was the magical era of Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Destiny's Child, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys etc. I started taking my music very seriously at the age of 15. Applied for Swedish Idol at 16, didn't get in. Applied for X-factor at 17, didn't get in. Applied for Idol again at 18, still didn't get in. That's when I thought; I will create a road of my own, and do what I love the most. So I started focusing more on producing songs, writing them, performing and doing music videos. And since my first released song/music video at the age of 18, i've released 9 songs and 6 music videos. 2019 is going to be the year where I explore my middle eastern roots, and experiment with my music putting some jazzy, oriental vibes, uptempo stuff to it. I am a graduated student from the Music University of Malmö (Malmös Musikhögskola) with a degree in Singer-Songwriting. I am also an event-planner, and I've mainly done events in night clubs (I've done a releasefest, and a Beyoncé Tribute concert at a very well known club in Malmö called Moriska Paviljongen). I like being a part of music video plannings, contacting people, booking things in and make projects. Vocally, I come up with the vocal melodies to the songs I write, by myself. I listen to beats, and I hear a melody in my head. When I first started writing, I wrote without instrumentals. I hear vocal melodies and go after that.
