About Erica Ramon

“Oh life, it's bigger, it's bigger than you…” said Michael Stipe in 1991’s Losing My Religion by REM, a song that inspired Erica Ramon early on and forged the path that would become her storied career in the music business. Since then, Erica continues to build her life around her passion for creativity, self-expression and music. Years later and fresh out of college from the University of California, Davis with an Economics degree in hand, 21-year old Erica moved back to LA with a dream and determination. Within a few months, she was on her feet at BMI under the stalwart leadership of Doreen Ringer-Ross and Linda Livingston. Itching for more, she decided to enroll in a music business class at UCLA with the ultimate goal of returning to school for an advanced degree, but what she got was an offer for a position at Hits Magazine/The MGMT Company that she couldn’t turn down. Having carved out a space for herself at Hits, the LA native immediately immersed herself in new endeavors, building and fostering industry relationships and securing film and TV placement for over a dozen clients. Eager to expand her role and take on new challenges, Ramon raised her hand to help grow Hits’ A&R column, The B-Side. The new venture took Ramon out of the office and into recording studios, SXSW, CMJ and out in the field on other major editorial assignments. Ramon’s adventurous streak inspired her to say “yes” yet again when offered a new opportunity; this time in the form of a management position alongside her colleagues with internationally-renowned rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. Several years, millions of records sold, a Guinness Book of World Record, VMA Stunt and countless successful campaigns later, Ramon added acts like The Airborne Toxic Event, the Eagles of Death Metal, and the signing of The Kongos to her resume. As her 30th birthday approached, Ramon realized she was ready for yet another adventure and a big leap of faith. She packed up her West Coast life and headed to New York City in search of new challenges. One serendipitous meeting at DAS Communications would solidify her new professional home and the opportunity to work with Fergie, The Pretty Reckless, Prince Royce, Passion Pit and Jimmy Cliff, among others. Today, she has successfully helped to re launch The Dutchess herself, Fergie. She has been an integral piece in propelling The Pretty Reckless to their most successful cycle to date with a top 5 Billboard debut, a record breaking 3 #1 singles and the #1 rock single of 2014 and is currently working on the stage adaptation of When We Were Kings set to debut late 2020.
