About Livina Tanovic

Born in Paris, France and raised in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I fell in love with storytelling at a very young age and began writing my own short stories and poems. I formed a band with some friends at the age of eleven and realised that I really enjoyed singing. I eventually combined my love of writing and music and began writing songs. Although I had always played around with sounds on Garageband, it wasn't until I was in my early teens that I understood what music production was and started to take it more seriously. I studied at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin and received my BA in Creative Audio Production and Sound Engineering in 2023. That year, I released my very first EP "If I had wings" and a standalone single "Pomegranate Girl". Since graduating, I have scored the latest film of Oscar Winning Director Danis Tanović "My Late Summer" and co-founded REKORD, a Sarajevo-based indie record label, with Mirza Redžepagić. I am currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
