I am an independent singer, songwriter, pianist and producer. I self-released my debut EP in 2013 without a manager, publicist or record label; nevertheless, every track achieved significant national BBC radio airplay and support from BBC Introducing. 'Contours', the follow-up single, achieved similar radio success and I produced the accompanying music video in collaboration with filmmaker Nick Singleton and dancers from Phoenix Dance Theatre. 'Contours' was recorded in New York with Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright, Angus & Julia Stone) and Rob Moose (ANOHNI, Joanna Newsom) and in London at the famous Air-Edel Studios. I was a BBC 'Live Music Highlight of the Year' in 2014 and I have performed in the UK, US and Canada, supporting artists such as Martha Wainwright, Joan As Police Woman, and Athlete. I have frequently shared stages with performance poets and spoken word artists, including John Cooper Clarke and Holly McNish. I have a BMus in Folk & Traditional Music (specialising in performance and composition) from Newcastle University, and I achieved a Distinction in my Songwriting Master's degree from Bath Spa. I am currently enjoying collaborating with other artists and working on new material for my forthcoming debut album.
