Hill Kourkoutis is an award-winning songwriter, producer, engineer, mixer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and filmmaker based in Toronto. She is known for her super-collaborative philosophy, unwavering work ethic and ability to wear multiple hats in her creative endeavors while still going above and beyond. Hill currently is producing at her studio, The Lair. She has produced, mixed and engineered albums and singles for SATE, Madison Violet, Leela Gilday, Jules, Graph, Eh440, The Cliks, Pavlo, Shawnee, Hunter Valentine, Ghost Caravan, Martha and the Muffins, and Hill & The Sky Heroes. She has done remixes for Jill Barber, The Good Lovelies, Dear Rouge, July Talk and Adam Cohen. In September of 2018, Hill co-wrote, produced and mixed Jules' debut single “Before You Picked Her” which reached #1 on the CBC Radio Chart and charted in Canadian Alternative Top 40 Radio. She also co-wrote POESY's (Big Machine Label Group) Top 40 Canadian Rock and Alternative Radio charting song "Strange Little Girl". As a multi-instrumentalist and performer, Kourkoutis has had the honor of playing for Serena Ryder, The Weeknd, Martha and the Muffins, Tara Slone (Joydrop and Rockstar: INXS), The Cliks, and Danny Michel, to name a few. Hill can also be seen on the CTV series, The Launch (created by Scott Borchetta), playing guitar in the show’s house band. As a songwriter, Hill's songs have been recorded by artists including POESY (BMLG), Graph, Meghan Patrick (Warner), SATE, The Cliks, Mookie and the Loyalists (Sony), Dane Hartsell, Martha and the Muffins, Andrea England, and Martha Johnson. She has also composed for the automobile manufacturer, Cadillac (Tom & Dave), The Adventures of Napkin Man, Season 3 (CBC/Junior Joe), the online series Paper Girls (Fablevision/Junior Joe), Grimey (2012), Blowback (2018), and ACTRA's Get Women Working PSA. Her songs have appeared in television shows and films such as Kim's Convenience (CBC/Netflix), Private Eyes (Global), Killjoys (Space/Syfy), Degrassi: The Next Generation (MuchMusic/MTV), Offspring (Network Ten), Pulling Strings (Film), as well as ads for Urban Planet and Virgin Mobile.
