Nikya Life is a black-queer independent singer-songwriter and audio engineer who produces soulful music that touches the hearts and uplifts the spirits of its listeners. She began her career as a young girl, at the age of 7, writing small poems that later became short tunes she would sing to her family and friends. As time passed, she found herself inspired by the Soul/R&B singers that came before her like Etta James, Anthony Hamilton, and Lyfe Jennings, but also Hip-hop/Rap artists like Nicki Minaj, Lauren Hill, and J. Cole. Soon enough, she started writing and recording music of all types of genres, holding on to the special love she had for Soul. Life, without guidance or instruction, was able to successfully record and release 4 singles, all of which received great praise from her supporters. Now, as an independent artist with a Bachelors’ of Science in Recording Arts and GRAMMYU Member, she is focusing on producing and releasing her debut project titled, “REPERCUSSION” and eager to gain more experience and knowledge for building a successful music career.
