 I love songwriting.  I love the journey of it - the glimmer of an idea...the methodical unveiling of an intriguing melody, the chess-like assembly of lyrical puzzle pieces… the sprinkling the area between the notes with meaning…the euphoria of it all taking shape — it's like sonic sculpting. Sometimes, when the stars align, I channel lyrics from the ethers.  I'm not sure what that means either. But I’ll just hear the hook, or hear the verse in my head out of the blue. Inspiration comes in bits and pieces…or once in a blue moon, like in the case of The Ghost of Tennessee, I’ll hear a snippet of verse in the morning, and by noon, the entire verses and chorus are written. I love Rock n' Roll, but I love writing quirky folk songs with biting lyrics. I love to write songs about unrequited love, bad boyfriends, universal love, inspiration, daily objects, moments in time, etc. Oh yea, and the ocean. The ocean gets in there a lot. I love writing heart-gripping ballads that might surprise you at the end. My work has been described as having a raw innocence. I think that means I write simple songs that affect your heart. As a songwriter, I want to write in all genres. I guess I’m not going to fit into just one genre as an artist. And that’s the fun of it.
 I enjoy toplining and would love to collaborate more with others on songwriting. I am looking for songwriting/toplining opportunities, co-writing opportunities, and musicians interested in contributing tracks to my songs. I would be very interested in finding a mentor, attending local events to talk to/connect with other songwriters, and I am interested in finding the right producer (in both our highest goods) to better execute and professionally execute my sonic visions.
