I am a songwriter. In the past, I have been a "ghost writer", and to be honest.. I'm perfectly ok with it. I don't need recognition. Hearing someone take my story and put a voice to it is the only goal I've ever had. Other than that, I love all music, and find there isn't a genre that doesn't belong on my playlist. While I don't have any female musicians in my family, my family tree is laden with artists. In art of all forms, I was taught to respect where it comes from, and how it gets to us.
