Hello! I am a singer-songwriter and front-person for the Jamie Wyman Band. After working my way through a law degree and several social work-related jobs, I realized I wanted to be a musician. I dropped everything to start writing songs and engaging in the music business full time. My work is strongly influenced by powerful female singers, including Janis Joplin, Brandi Carlile, and Tori Amos. I write uplifting songs (that are sometimes a bit political) and I love to give voice to other people’s stories. I also founded The Great Blue Song Project, a music nonprofit that pairs songwriters with people coping with illness and grief. As an independent artist and nonprofit leader, I get to do a little bit of everything from music creation to marketing and contract execution. Mostly, I make music because I believe it has the power to make the world a better place.
