About Janay Fillman

I am Jammy Louise. I love making music, I love production, but most of all I love Mixing and Mastering. I am a professional radio broadcaster/producer gone music. My strong suit in college was production and mixing. I went into radio with this big dream of running big boards and writing, and making commercials. When I graduated and started out in the field I was placed in Sales and Marketing, which was fine, I did learn alot but I was not using my skills, passion or creativity to help myself or other's, I was using it as the business wanted and I felt unfulfilled. I had previously been working with local bands in our local scene. Booking shows for venues, solo artists and underground bands, managing bands, and bringing in bands from other regions together. I was offered a spot on an online radio station and I created my show called DaRanged. My tag line is "Bridging the gap Between everyone's local scenes) DaRanged nearly grew herself. She is a beautiful beast and I was on top of the world making her. I started working with record labels interviewing and being invited to concerts and it was so amazing, even obtained some sponsors along the way. Although its a very amazing journey I was still looking for something more. After sometime and some success things in life happen. I went out to LA and got the privilege of learning recording in some pretty amazing studio's with amazing humans. Some very important lessons about love and trust were learned and I came back to Minnesota, revamped myself and my life. I have now opened my own recording studio. I want to help people get their music out and help learn the basics of getting your arsonal together and finding your sound and your presence in the underground, so you can take that to the next level. I am just starting out as a music producer, but I have been working the music and radio industries for the past 16 years, and I am ready to fly and branch out and continue learning and on my path to leaning more and also helping others as well. I have battled many demons in this life so far but it all brings me back to music and that is where my heart lives. I have lost 400lbs in my journey and I have overcome sexual and emotional and childhood abuse, so I know what its like to come from nothing and have to make very hard choices and important ones to continue to grow and not ever give up. I had to choose between myself and what I love or loosing myself and enduring more pain. I chose music and life and health and happiness.

Janay's Experience

I have a big resume. I started out booking shows for bands, big and small and local and national. I found my calling there. I spent years managing underground bands and self teaching and finding mentors on the way. I have met some pretty amazing professionals that believed in me and gave me direction support and confidence. I went back to college to learn everything radio so I could help the artists I was helping even more by understanding radio and also unleashing my personality itself and finding the courage to open up and go for it. I had an amazing internship in Minneapolis at CBS Radio WCCO/ 102.9 FM. The morning show host is still one of my most influential mentors for me, she taught me not to cut out everyones breaths, haha. A good lesson for every new editor to learn. I worked at several different radio stations doing Sales and Marketing then I then took my personality out and about and started an online radio show DaRanged. and I live streamed at concerts and shows and special occasions. I bridge the gap between everyones local scenes around the world. I put out a complication album with Manta Ray records and that is what inspired to take what I was doing to the next level and help local and unheard of bands get their music out there. Now I have opened up my own recording studio and I have just begun taking clients I have finished 2 singles with 2 different artists and I am starting to build my portfolio as a producer and mixing artists.
