Jazmin' Experience

I love music. I’m currently in search of a full-time role in the industry. For the time being, I’m freelancing for Kelleemack PR and Kelleemack Media taking on roles doing social media, marketing, and PR. In the fall of 2022, I wrapped up a contract project for Fearless Records. Most of my career and experience has been in radio. My background is in Marketing, Promotions, Events, and Sales. Prior to my radio career, I interned at Vagrant Records and Fearless Records. I eventually landed a freelancing job with Vagrant Records while I attended Graduate School as a full-time student. Before that, I was a teaching assistant in the music department at El Sereno Middle School (LAUSD). Even before breaking into the industry, I still worked with music! For my Masters Thesis, I decided to take a look at the music industry and study the characteristics women feel they need to adopt in order to survive in a male dominated industry. Almost 10 years later, I still think about that study all the time. During my free time, I’m a contributing concert photographer for websites such as getalternative.com and thebadcopy.com. For almost 4 and a half years, I ran keepitposi.com where I wrote music news, album reviews, conducted email interviews, and photographed concerts. I also hosted The Keep It Posi Podcast where I interviewed musicians and music industry professionals. On the weekends, I volunteer at Pasadena Humane. I get to hang out with dogs and read to them to help alleviate some of the stress they may experience in the shelter environment. I also do photography at shelter events. As of July 2023, I started volunteering with United Hope For Animals doing photography in hopes of helping pets that are desperately in need of a home to be adopted or rescued. In the last year, I’ve gone on to earn certifications in different fields from institutions such as Harvard, UC Berkeley, and The University of Queensland, Australia. I believe everything I’ve done and everything I continue to do in my every day life, has allowed me to learn a variety of skills. Now I’m just here figuring out where those skills will take me to next.
