About Jessica Laicy

Hi! I'm a former journalist, current photographer. Mainly concert photography because music is my life and I can't go a day without it. What can I say, I just want to get paid to sneak into venues, hang out with rock stars and take shots! (With my camera of course!) Haha! I've been doing some form of photography my entire life but have constantly been shooting shows since 2017. Currently I'm a photojournalist for a local music website based out of Columbus, Ohio. Passion and portfolio work, I believe some one called it. I'm looking to expand and move forward with my career. In all honesty, I just want to have the honor of being able to do what I love for a living and using my talents all while making the world a more beautiful place through the lens of my camera. The highlight of my life came in 2019 when I had the opportunity to photograph one of my top 5 favorite artists P!nk on her Beautiful Trauma tour!

Jessica's Experience

I work in a fast paced environment. I’m always adapting to ever changing conditions. I get a lot of cardio in 3 songs. I’ve photographed many local bands in bars where I’m changing my settings to keep up with lightning changes. I’ve photographed big stars on big stages including P!nk, Jimmy Eat World, and Fitz and The Tantrums. I’ve photographed Drive in shows in the middle of an abandoned mall parking lot. (Thanks 2020) I’ve come up with creative locations and shoots for photos featured in articles and on albums covers. I’ve also volunteered my time with Cancer Support Community Center Ohio to shoot their events to be displayed on their website, at future events and fundraising initiatives.
