Jessica's Experience

My undergraduate and graduate theses were focused on women in music, specially, the way that lyrics sexualize girls in music over the last 50 years. I developed a website (skills: HTML, CSS, moderate Java knowledge) to host my data analysis and visualization (skills: R, SAS, SQL, some Python, data analysis, some Tableau, Excel certified, Google Sheets) and showcase my thesis (skills: professional writing, creative writing, analysis). I am passionate about music and marketing; I spent a year working in internet marketing (skills: Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO) and can apply these skills to multiple markets, including music marketing.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.
