About Jamie Tofano

Hi guys!!! My name is Jamie, I am a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, and I am in the works of entering the music industry as a hopeful producer / songwriter! I am a vocalist and piano player, and I would say aside from sitting at my piano for hours, I enjoy songwriting probably the most. I am very intuitive and attuned to my emotions, so for me, whether it is singing or writing, I feel as though I am best able to express myself in these ways. I work with a MIDI controller mainly, and use software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, etc. Beat-making (although I consider it to be a part of the songwriting process) is another love of mine. Between the lyric writing, singing, beat-making, and rough mixes I am able to create, I find that I also limit myself a lot with the things that I am not as proficient with. Through becoming a member of She Is The Music, I hope to make the friends and connections that I can so we can all push each other forward on this road! I look forward to offering whatever services I may be able to, and am just as eager to learn from some of you guys! WHO RUN THE WORRLLLLDDDDDDDDDD

Jamie's Experience

During my time at Berklee, I took many classes that ranged from music theory, to songwriting, to production and engineering classes, etc. While some of the material was over my head, and other material came like a breeze, I have applied my skills up until this point, mostly in a classroom setting. I have worked with a variety of artists/producers/beat-makers outside of class to either help with material of theirs, or mine, but a fair share has been school related. Luckily, from these projects that I have had, I have made the friends and connections to create a lot outside of class, and I look forward to continuing my collaborations now that I have graduated. As for the meantime, I am in the works of releasing a full length album by the end of the year, completed entirely (or mostly) by myself. For no reason or another, it has always been a goal of mine to be able to do all ends of the process myself, however with that said, I am aware that there’s plenty that I still do not know (i.e., polished mixing, and mastering.) This is where a great network like She Is The Music comes in, to hopefully make the connections and contacts needed to further our music in the directions we’d like it to go!
