About Julia Sordello

Hello! I knew I wanted to be a part of music in some capacity as soon as I heard the voices of Sam Cooke and Carole King in my home as a young child. Starting at a young age, I was fortunate enough to attend live music shows, and as I grew older, I knew I wanted to be apart of the music industry. I have volunteered at local music festivals, put on my University's annual concert series, interned at concert venues in both Seattle and Florence, IT, and continue to do college radio! I am studying for my undergraduate degree in Humanities and Strategic Communications, and I plan to go to graduate school for music business. One goal I want to continue working towards is making the music industry a more welcoming and equitable space for all POCs and WOC. I look forward to connecting, sharing, and learning from all of you!

Julia's Experience

While working in both the music industry and studying for my undergrad, I have been able to learn and apply these necessary skills in my career. As a strategic communications major, the focus is on how communication at the team and organizational level are vital to achieving positive results. As a humanities major, it focuses on becoming a well-rounded, critical thinker in the fields of human rights, inclusion, and the celebration of diversity. My experiences working in the music industry have also provided me invaluable skills that have helped me succeed as well as grow when working in the music field. Every experience in the music industry and academia has taught me many lessons that I take on with me into every career experience.
