My name is Kara Dhakal, I am a senior Sound Recording Technology major with an emphasis in Jazz Voice at Ithaca College! Currently, I'm fulfilling an accredited recording internship at Eastside Sound in NYC. At Ithaca College, I learned how audio supports the musician, and the dedication needed to continue learning and producing quality work. My coursework has also greatly influenced my mixing philosophy and understanding of audio. I have worked on many recording projects for class, and have become familiar with the technical skills of ProTools and our primary console, the SSL Duality. For me, working in audio is about using the skills I have learned to support the musician and taking pride in putting the musical vision first. As a vocalist, I love connecting with other musicians and collaborating to make creations come alive.
