Katherine's Experience

Abz K (Syncromental) has written a lot of material as a solo artist. She changes character and her style of melody as often as a chameleon changes colour! Having written a host of songs designed for dark drama in 2020, Abz K has turned her hand to writing songs with a deep lyrical understanding on how it feels to be in a turbulent relationship and coming out on the other side of a breakup, regaining her own identity and learning the art of self preservation. The songs range from angry rock to stripped back piano, written from the heart and sharing with her fans the emotional roller coaster that she has endured over the last two years. More recently the swagger that was once buried has now returned with full force! Her hard work to break into sync licensing is starting to pay off with a song placement (IMDB credit) in the film The House That Zombies Built by Silent Studios Productions, which is due for release in 2024. She also had three instrumental placements in a river conservation programme in 2022 and two songs which made the grade on The Sync Report Podcasts. Abz K has signed non-exclusive contracts with several sync agencies and production libraries, but she also likes to pitch her music for sync independently. Several additional performances and music festivals were performed in 2022, including the live instore launch of her debut solo album entitled Property of No One, which is for sale in the world famous HMV record store, along with plenty of song writing and sync placements in post production status. She was also asked to sing as a guest performer on the Lol Goodman Band’s new Rock and Blues album Playing for Ghosts, now out to purchase. There was also a festival performance in the summer of 2023 where Abz K rocked the stage, with more booked for 2024! More recently, Abz K has turned her hand at composing and producing her own music, creating some cinematic trailers, pop songs and some a capella covers which can be used by libraries for editing into their own trailerized covers.
