About Kayla Kascht

Hi there! I recently graduated with Distinction from DePaul University in Chicago with my MS in Business Management. In June 2020, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from DePaul in the Honors Program with my BS in Business Management and a minor in Music Business. My passions for wanting to work in the music industry originally stemmed from me being a "fangirl" throughout high school and becoming obsessed with all things music, business, and social media related. Pre-Covid, I interned as an Artist Hospitality and Venue Operations intern at two local venues here in Chicago. Currently, I am interning at an upcoming social access platform as a Talent & Business Development Intern, working in both onboarding of our creators and in digital marketing/content strategy.

Kayla's Experience

I have a variety of experience within administrative roles, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. In my past roles, I have scheduled meetings, organized calendars, coordinated travel, created budgets and tracked expenses, conducted extensive research, tracked and analyzed data, and maintained database systems. Additionally, I have 5+ years of experience in customer service, with skills in answering phones, problem solving, and effective communication. Currently, in my roles as a Talent & Business Development Intern at WEIV, a start-up premium social platform, and apart of multiple Street Teams (Fan to Band, Jonas Group Entertainment, and New Kid Entertainment), I have gained skills in marketing, content creation, fan engagement, talent relations, and business development. My favorite aspect in these roles is brainstorming creative and innovative content ideas to pitch weekly and following through with their execution. In my prior internship at two local music venues, I ran artist hospitality for 60+ shows, as well as handled tasks in promotions and venue operations. In this role, it required effective communication, as I served as a liaison between artists & their team and the venue staff. This role also required a strong attention to detail, as it was crucial to make sure all production schedules and calendars, promotional posts on social media, and promotional posters had accurate information.
