Kelsey Blackstone's groovy soul-pop and rock sound present uplifting yet sensitive stories with elements of jazz improvisation, music theatre-grandiose, and fun-loving stage presence. Her music is adaptable, allowing her to perform and record self-accompanied on keys, or with her band. She is heavily influenced by both sonic and social impacts of blues rock/disco artists from the 70s, while utilizing modern synths and recording techniques to create a rich, passionate, well-rounded sound. Weaving her world with colors, bubbles, sass, and fun, Kelsey uses magnetic nostalgia with contemporary soul to create her vibrant artistry. Kelsey is a recent Berklee College of Music graduate, an award-winning songwriter and an avid performer. She's played shows to sold-out rooms across the country, (opening for Lloyiso, Coral Moons, Mom Rock, Co-Pilot, chrysalis, & more) and festivals such as Musicians Corner Nashville, GreggFest, and Harry's Happening.
