Behind La Niña del Cabo hides Noemí Maldonado, singer, guitarist and Spanishcomposer. With a career of 18 years, she has realeased two official albums: Zum, recorded in Spain, and Matajari Maldonado, re- corded in Cuba after a year of experiences in the island. Her music supposes the fusion of flamenco rhythms, hip-hop, rap and Iberian folk music. From their Andalusian roots, she faces other expressive forms connected with the most rebellious folklore. She has coined the word flamenhop as a mixture of modern tendencies and traditional music from flamenco.
