About Leah Dowdy

Described by TODAY Show’s Hoda Kotb as a “bright light” and one to watch out for, alternative-soul artist Leah Dowdy is quickly making her mark in the music industry. A booked and busy actress before the Covid-19 outbreak, Leah rekindled her childhood passion for songwriting while quarantined with her family in the woods of Pennsylvania. Constructing a home-studio in the closet of her childhood bedroom, Leah self-produced and released her first three singles within the span of just a few months. During the summer of 2024, she released her debut EP “What Almost Was.” Looking ahead, Leah hopes to continue putting the human experience into verse by penning lyrics for her favorite artists and possibly returning to her roots in film & TV via sync licensing. When she's not in the studio, Leah can be found working as a full-time Membership Manager at the Recording Academy, home of the prestigious GRAMMY Awards, where she hopes to continue opening doors, breaking glass ceilings and positively impacting the lives of musicians for years to come.
