About Leslie Nuss

Leslie Nuss: a singer/songwriter based in the Midwest, who has been likened to Joni Mitchell, or Elizabeth Fraser from the Cocteau Twins among others. Currently working with her first ever female producer, Ainjel Emme, who is helping Leslie make and release a series of 4 eps, the first of which, "V" came out late summer 2018. The topics reflect her life now (vs. the younger-single-starving artist of NYC and Chicago in 4 previous CD releases) including getting older, navigating children (one with special needs) and how to reconcile the broken dreams and empty promises that often catch us unawares, with the expanse of time left in front of us. While Hollywood Actresses reclaim roles snatched away from them, artists like Leslie Nuss are wondering when (and if) their moment will come. And, knowing all this, Leslie strives to write good, honest songs that make her want to play, perform and record. She thinks that, used properly, songwriting is a powerful tool that can soothe and awake something deep inside us that is good.
