Hi! My name is Lila Gilliam, and I am a lifelong learner. I am a singer-songwriter, music + vocal producer, and community builder. My first love was music, and I have spent over a decade growing as an independent artist. I am interested and involved in both the administrative and creative side of the music business, as I believe you must have a strong foundation to build a strong home. I am enthusiastic about the music industry, creating opportunities and developing streamlined mentorship and resources for BIPOC creators globally.

Lila's Experience

I have spent over a decade studying music business, artist branding, and vocal performance to grow as an independent artist. While getting my B.A. in Music (with a concentration in Vocal Performance), I held administrative internships with In2une Music and The Mezzo Agency and participated in Mentorship and Ambassadorship programs such as Runway Academy and She Is The Music! I was also elected into several leadership and executive board positions that allowed me to exercise and practice digital marketing, photography, creative direction, and project management.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.
