About Luli Bono

I am LuliBono, a 26 years-old performer and songwriter from Madrid. I like to call myself a "Folclórica Todoterreno". It means that I am a great lover of Flamenco, but I also rap, compose, dance, write and act, and try to mix all of those among depth and humor while I am on stage, which is where I belong. My main influences are Elton John, Lola Flores, Celia Cruz, Rosalia, Maria Callas, Alicia Keys... I released my first album called "Toma K Toma" in 2024, and right now I am working on my second album. I write mainly in Spanish, and even though my music has a lot of Flamenco influences, it is always mixed with Pop and Soul, and theatre references. I am now studying songwriting at the New School in New York, and looking forward to keep doing live shows, as well as keep working on my craft, which I will never stop doing. The reason I do music is to connect with people, and love as much as I can. "I could live without music, but I could never live without people."

Luli's Experience

I have studied with private vocal coaches for over 12 years, I learned piano by myself and I started composing my own songs more than 8 years ago. My first ever paid job was singing “Ave Maria” by Caccini at a funeral when I was 16 years old. I have sand at the Royal Theatre of Madrid, and also I have sang in restaurants, small venues, weddings, private events… for almost 10 years. I was a backup singer for an artist back in Spain, and played over 50 gigs as part of her band around Spain, Europe and Colombia. I released my first album in 2024, and since then, I have been playing live with my own project since then, doing 4 sold-out shows in Madrid for more than 400 people. I came to New York in March 2025 to audition at The New School, and I was awarded with a full scholarship to study songwriting at The School of Jazz of New York. I live in Brooklyn and I am now working on my second album.
