I always feel weird writing these, because I am at the start of my journey. My name is Maniia, I am Ukrainian but I was born and raised in the Czech Republic. Growing up, I attended an international school, so I consider English one of my first languages. I always loved music, but my environment never let me consider it more than just a hobby. Fast forward, I went to college in the United States for International Relations, got good grades etc & graduated. Went to grad school, studied foreign policy and national security. Got good grades and graduated. Almost a year later, was working full time and then the war happened. Ukraine was invaded. My life flipped inside out as I felt sick to my stomach not knowing what was next. My family is still there to this day. The invasion and wartime environment is what put things into perspective for me, and made me realize that if I do not start releasing music now, then I will absolutely regret it. I am an independent music artist, I am a songwriter, a beginner producer, and a creative director. So here is my music. I hope it makes you feel all sorts of things, feel what you want to feel, and I hope it provides validation for what you are feeling - no matter who you are, where you are from, or what your story is.
