She Is The Music

About Maya Gilmore

Maya Gilmore is a fresh graduate from Middle Tennessee State University ready to enter the world of music. I studied to be a Mix Engineer and now at 22, I'm super excited to start making a name for myself in this industry. A lover of all music, there is no genre I'm not interested in or ready to dive into. My love for music stems from old Soul Music and Rhythm and Blues, but the range is wide. I'm ready to get my feet wet, be a boss and meet anyone doing the same!

Maya's Experience

The skills that I’ve acquired in my field have been mostly from personal experience and from my university. I apply many of the skills that I have with most of projects that I work with. Although I don’t have much professional work to back, I am constantly using my skills on sessions and use them to be constantly evolving the way that I work. I want to be able to fit in to all these different genres and worlds that the industry has to offer and there isn’t a skill I don’t want to learn or master!

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
