About Molly Bogin

I'm a "chameleon" singer-songwriter, classically trained, with roots in gospel, folk, and musical theater. I've been writing and performing since I was in elementary school, and have grown into different genres and styles over the course of listening to, and learning new music over the years. Because I play piano, guitar, and bass, I'm inspired to write across musical styles, unbound by genre, always with a tie to harmony. Being a back-up singer and supportive bandmate gives me as much fulfillment (if not more) than singing lead.

Molly's Experience

I’ve written songs since I was in high school, arranged music and created harmonic structure since college, and performed as a singer and musical theater artist since I was six years old. With a background in folk, Broadway, jazz, and soul, I specialize in vocal harmony and cross-genre songwriting; and love more than anything to collaborate with other musicians and producers. In December 2019, I performed on off-off Broadway in a musical oratorio in NYC. In January of 2021, five of us drove across the country to dedicate two months to music making in a DIY residency/laurel canyon project in New Mexico. Since then, I have worked with a variety of producers, instrumentalists, and other songwriters to keep the heart of musical creation alive.
