She Is The Music

About Monty Monn

Imani “Monty” Woods is a student working towards becoming a Music Producer and will be graduating with her Recording Arts and Show Production diploma in September of 2022. From there she hopes to move to Atlanta, Georgia to start her career in the music industry. In her younger years, Monty took part in the children’s church choir, school shows: winter showcase, black history shows, spring showcases, and candlelight and they’ve all had something in common which is teaching her teamwork, patience and leadership. Monty always had a passion for music in general since she was a kid because it helped her through her toughest times in life. One day she hopes to own her own Record Label because she loves to help people and what better way than to help someone who is also passionate about music.

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
