About Ashley Boone

My name is Ashley, and I am just a lady who loves music! I enjoy all types, but my favorite genre is R&B and all of its incarnations, like soul, funk, and disco. Almost two years ago, during downtime from work due to the pandemic, I created my music blog site called Music & Me. It was born out of the idea to have an outlet for my love and knowledge of music, among other things. I have an Instagram page that accompanies the blog, and I also aim to create a podcast, publish my musical memoir, and create music-related documentaries. I look forward to connecting with other women who possess a passion for music.

Ashley's Experience

I have created multiple blog posts about various artists and music genres, and the posts are on specific topics, i.e. sampling and artist birthday tributes. I have also curated Spotify playlists to accompany some of these posts. These can all be found at my website, musicandmeinc.com. This illustrates my knowledge where various types of music are concerned, as well as my ability to create musical “moods”, if you will. Additionally, my Instagram page posts certain types of songs, depending on the day and time, which also exhibits my ability to curate. For example, I usually post samples on Thursdays for Throwback Thursday, and slow old school R&B songs during “Quiet Storm” hours, among other things.
