About Natalie Pence

As an NYU student studying media, communication, and entertainment business in the heart of NYC, I’m surrounded by music marketing everywhere I look. Being in this space, I realize more and more that every artist or label has a unique story to tell that separates them from the pack. My goal is to effectively amplify these identities to the right eyes and ears. Across my previous internship experiences and NYU courses, I have been learning how tools in the marketing arsenal function and how they can be effective across a variety of contexts and brand identities. Now, I’m interested in stepping into the music industry and applying these skills to the artists and labels that I love.

Natalie's Experience

This past summer I fulfilled a marketing assistant role with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Government. Working within a close-knit, results-oriented marketing team, I made a strong contribution to the organization’s core ambitions of boosting course registration, targeting the right audience, and amplifying brand voice. In the pursuit of these goals, the email marketing campaigns, ECRM database renewal, and social media content that I spearheaded were significantly impactful according to the Director of Marketing. In these various capacities, I have adopted new collaborative, strategic, creative, and analytical skills, proving to myself and leadership that I learn efficiently, even when multitasking on multiple projects. Although unrelated to the music industry, this role has taught me valuable foundations in successful marketing execution. Prior to this experience, I was fortunate to intern with K3 Media Collective, a PR agency with clients in the skincare/beauty industry. Working closely with leadership, I gained experience in the process of writing press releases, managing influencer programs, developing social media campaigns, and crafting virtual marketing campaigns. Throughout my work with K3, I gained a strong understanding of brand building and outreach execution, while actively contributing to the agency’s success.
