About Niamh Turley

Born in Liverpool, England. Singer/Songwriter Niamh Turley-Moon has a soft, soulful yet powerful voice. Focusing primarily on her own material, Niamh owns her songs which are filled with heartfelt lyrics. These attributes stem from her musical influences - Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin & Jeff Buckley. Niamh’s love of music started at an early age. Her father, a guitarist & singer himself and her parents eclectic taste in music played a big role in instilling Niamh’s love of music. This influence is evident in the versatility of Niamh’s music. Writing her own lyrics at 16 catapulted Niamh’s enthusiasm to pursue a career in music. Collaborating with her good friend, guitarist, Joshua Wood they started performing and creating music together. In 2019, her song ‘Broken Again’ was first played on BBC Introducing three times in a matter of weeks, giving Niamh a much-welcomed boost in confidence. Her single ‘Fly’ is being picked up by local radio stations with hosts commenting “What a beautiful, beautiful song - her voice is just silky smooth’. Most recently her singles 'Hopeless Wonderer' and 'This Ain't No Party' have been played. Niamh’s love for music has led her to other paths too. Music-based projects such as Raising Awareness on Knife Crime and Singing for the Brain with the Alzheimer’s Society are two projects Niamh is delighted to be part of. Niamh’s single ‘This Ain’t No Party’ hit Spotify one year after the first draft. An upbeat Pop/Soul sound with a meaningful message behind it. Stay tuned to this upcoming young female artist – she’s going places.

Niamh's Experience

I am a full time music student, I have been for 3 years and I am now continuing onto higher education at Liverpool Institute Performing Arts. Studying music on a wider spectrum has allowed me to develop as an artist within many areas such as; business, songwriting, composing music, producing, live sound, performing. This has given me the opportunity to work in wider areas within the music industry and apply these skills in situations. I have recently been involved in a 10 week work shop working with young children on writing a song raising awareness on knife crime. The song was played on BBC Radio Shropshire and is called ‘End Up Like This’.
