Please visit my website for full bio: www.nizcomusic.com Born in Miami, FL, Jessica Muñiz-Collado received her MFA in Music Composition with concentrations in scoring for media and jazz from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She studied under the direction of award-winning composer, music producer, and music supervisor Don DiNicola, and jazz pianist/composer Diane Moser. She also received her BM in Percussion Performance from the University of Miami under the direction of renowned Yamaha Percussion Artist Ney Rosauro. Jessica has worked as a composer/music producer for MundoFOX's television series "Los Golden Boys" (produced by Oscar De La Hoya & Mario Lopez), Odyssey Earth Films, IMAX conservation film project, award-winning COPILOT Music+ Sound, Universal Production Music, award-winning INC24 imagination Productions, N.N. Media Productions, Eureka Music Library, and many others. In addition to media scoring and producing, she has also been hired as a sound designer and mixer. As a producer, Jessica feels most at home with Latin Urban, HipHop, and Lo-Fi genres. She is also both a published and commissioned composer and her pieces have been nationally and internationally performed in countries as far as Afghanistan and Argentina. Jessica composes/produces for theatre and dance mediums and was commissioned by award-winning choreographer Augusto Soledade for his distinguished Augusto Soledade BrazzDance Company. As a performer, she has had the privilege to perform/record with numerous musicians including Grammy-nominated artists, and world-renowned Indian Carnatic Vocalist Sudha Ragunathan. Jessica has also performed throughout North and South America, Europe, and has toured with the FROST Percussion Sextet in Japan. Jessica finds great joy to be a composer/music producer, enjoys collaborating with other artists, and is pleased to share her knowledge of music with aspiring composers.
