About Chelsey Coy
Chelsey Coy is a singer-songwriter/artist/banjo player/music supervisor and licensing agent based in Los Angeles. Her musical projects include Americana outfit Single Girl, Married Girl, indie pop/hip-hop duo CH£X, dream pop duo Lost Camera, country female empowerment trio Shadow Canyon, and indie folk trio Psychic in LA. She also releases music under her own name, as well. Her song, “Home”, was featured in the Northeast for PC Richard & Son from 2021-2023 and some of her other songs have been placed in TV shows including 911 Nashville, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, All Rise, Teen Mom 2, Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Bad Hair Day, Island Life, D Amelio Show, Help! I’m in a secret Relationship, Selling the City, and in multiple feature and short films. She co-owns a music licensing and supervision agency, called twoOHsix Music, with friends Lauren Light and Alex Helton. They have garnered multiple placements for their diverse roster of artists including Adidas, Billie, Michael Kors, The CW, ABC, CBS, Toyota, Wendy’s, Prime, Marco's Pizza, Volvo, Baskin Robbins, MTV, E!, Disney+, Jcrew, Netflix, Ubisoft, various indie films, video games, and trailers/promos. They supervised full-length features “Adventure Tom” and “The Red Mask” and three short films as well.
Her Americana project, Single Girl, Married Girl, released their debut album Spark in 2017, but Coy has evolved and come into her own as a songwriter on their sophomore release in 2021 with Three Generations of Leaving. As with many new bands, they struggled to gain notoriety early on, which they documented in the song “Starlight.” Ironically, the tune took off and has received over half-a-million streams on Spotify, breathing new life into their career. In 2021, their song “Looking” was featured in American Songwriter, and their song “Scared to Move” was on a New York Times Playlist with a write-up by Jon Pareles. They've been featured in No Depression, Bluegrass Situation, The Boot, Pancakes & Whiskey, and Americana Highways as well.
Music has always been in Coy’s blood. Born into a musical family, her grandfather studied music at Stanford, her parents met in a folk singing group, and her aunt played 17 musical instruments. It wasn’t uncommon for her family to spend hours singing together after meals with her grandma on piano. A gifted vocalist, Coy also sang on '80s children's albums, did a voice over for an ABC television series called “Family Pictures”, and performed and sang in a Beach Boys commercial that never aired, but it wasn't until recently that she found greater confidence in songwriting.
Chelsey graduated in 2006 from University of Southern California’s Music Business program with an emphasis in jazz voice. She is also a proud Grammy Academy voting member, a Friend of the (music supervisors) Guild and a member of SONA, Society of Composers and Lyricists, and AWFC.
When she’s not writing or pitching music, you can find her hanging with her husband Gary and their kitties: Scout and Boo and spending her free time scouring thrift shops around LA for 60s and 70s finds.

Chelsey's Experience
I have written and top-lined on hundreds of songs, performed live all across the US, recorded vocals for numerous artists and projects, written to sync briefs, done custom work for sync licensing, and played banjo on multiple recordings for my own projects. I am a session vocalist and harmonies are my specialty. I have also music supervised multiple projects including two full length features and 3 short films for my company, twoOHsix Music. Also with twoOHsix, I have curated a roster of over 1500 artists and secured thousands of placements.
