Libby is a vocalist, producer, composer, songwriter, performer, and teacher based in Los Angeles. Classically trained in voice and piano from age 8, Libby began her professional career with the Washington Opera at the same time as well. Her parents immersed her in all kinds of music growing up and she fell in love with artists such as Sarah Brightman, Garbage, and Debussy. And, courtesy of her Israeli father, a smattering of Israeli artists, like Rita and Keren Ann. In her extensive education of music she has played various instruments, learned different music theories, and scales (for example, she sang jazz, played in the Balinese Gamelan ensemble and zither in the Chinese Orchestra in college.) She also took audio engineering courses and an avant garde composition course at that time. She began production on pro-tools and bandcamp before switching to Logic Pro and has a particular affinity for Native Instruments and Spectrasonics. After college Libby played in various bands (shoegaze, electronic, and trip-hop) in DC and then SF, touring up the coasts, and playing beloved venues like the Great American Music Hall and festivals like CMJ. Inspired by her experience with Kundalini Yoga, she began a solo project called OSLEE (Obey Serve Love Excel Elevate) in 2017 where she composes and performs contemporary, electronic Kundalini Yoga mantra music. She has performed at various retreats, festivals, seminars, and expos in the US as well as internationally in Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. https://www.osleemusic.com/ Libby has also taught voice lessons professionally for 15 years and has volunteered teaching voice at various institutions, like Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls LA. She loves educating and getting people out of their shells, approaching singing from a place of playfulness, fun, and joy rather than a high stakes situation that many people tend to feel it is!
