Hi! My name is Raina, and I am originally from Stockton, CA. Stockton has a rich, urban hip hip culture and was recently named the most racially diverse city in the US. Therefore, growing up in Stockton has really influenced my music taste and style. I am a female DJ - I mix primarily house and techno. After attending college in Santa Barbara, I became really exposed to the small house music scene that is present in the city. I was able to perform at several mountain parties, which are thrown by the resident DJ's in the area. I hope to keep mixing and eventually producing my own music. House music was pioneered by African American DJ's out of Chicago and Detroit, so I always keep this in mind when playing and pay homage to its deep roots.
