About Rebecca Dressler

I am an American singer/instrumentalist/songwriter/producer/all-around-tech-loving nerd. By day, I am an audio/visual technician AKA a glorified roadie, running and setting up audio and lighting for shows and by night I am a live/studio musician performing, writing, producing, and recording music. I began doing music in 3rd grade where I started singing and playing the flute. I was avid in musicals, choirs, band and orchestra throughout high school. Then, I decided to study music in college where I started taking formal singing lessons, playing the piano, dabbling in other instruments and studying audio recording. I also worked as a roadie/technician and was the lead singer in multiple bands. Post college, I’ve been featured on numerous audio recordings, done sound design for drum corps, I've run/set up live sound and lighting for musicals, musicians and traveling groups, and recorded various artists ranging across multiple genres. Recently, I’ve gotten into singing live music around my home town as well as writing original music in my free time. Music creation and entertainment are my passions. I've worked mostly with men in the past and I'm looking to work with more women. I want to work with other women who are motivated to prove that we deserve our rightful place in this industry.

Rebecca's Experience

In college, I recorded our music department chair’s jazz band. I spent the summer of 2015 engineering, mixing and recording their album. I was featured on numerous projects as both a lead singer, background singer and producer. I worked as a sound designer/audio engineer for a drum corps during the summers of 2016 and 2017. Since 2017, I have been writing, recording and producing my own original music. I released my first EP, Downplay, in 2018 and my first album, Born Again, in 2020. Recently, I’ve been performing live music around my area and writing my 2nd studio album. In 2019, I began working as an audio/visual technician at a private liberal arts college, working as a sound and lighting theatre technician. I am a glorified roadie, setting up, running and tearing down audio/lighting equipment for the events at the university as well as managing and training our student crew.
