She Is The Music

About Robyn The Bank

I'm Robynthebank, a singer-songwriter based in Houston, TX. I have worked with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Carlos Santana, Rob Thomas, Kirk Whalum, and T.I., to name a few. I have been writing songs for as long as I can remember and I currently write for a music licensing company in LA called Riptide Music Group. I'm looking to expand my writing credits and take my career to the next level. I'm a huge girl power advocate and my latest project entitled Yung Kobra is a testament to that, written entirely by myself and produced by the amazing Simonne Jones. I am a topliner, and aspiring producer, and I dabble in piano, guitar and mandolin

Robyn's Experience

I have been signed to a couple major label deals under different artist projects. The first, was an alt rock band called Beverly Kills, we toured SoCal. The second was a hip hop group in the style of the fugees called Cadillacs In Space. Most recently I recorded a song with legendary jazz artist Kirk Whalum. I’ve really enjoyed working in such completely different genres I think it gives me a really interesting perspective on how to blend different sounds together

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
