Jenelle Roccaforte is a multifaceted bassist whose musical roots run deep in the rich soil of jazz, funk, and R&B. Born into a musical family in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, her passion for music began at an early age. After her studies at the California Jazz Conservatory she moved to New Orleans, where she developed her voice as an artist and founded her own group Roccadile and released her first record "Green and Gold" in September 2023, a mesmerizing fusion of funk, jazz, and neo-soul. As a versatile bassist, she's performed with renowned artists like Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam, Chuchito Valdés, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and Zydeco legend Sean Ardoin. Her passion for music extends beyond the stage as she is a tireless advocate for music education in underprivileged communities. She firmly believes in the power of music to transform lives, and has worked with numerous outreach programs, leading workshops and mentoring aspiring young musicians. She is currently living in Spain completing a masters degree at Berklee College of Music in Valencia in contemporary performance and production. Jenelle's dedication to music education, her artistry, live performances, and the New Orleans spirit make her a rising star in the world of bassists and beyond.
