About Romane Caron

When I was studying cultural development, I did my master thesis on the place of women musicians in the popular music industry. I was quite surprised by their low presence on stage, but also at the radio, the studios... And it certainly made me more determined to work in the music industry and make it change ! I am now a production manager for two musicians and still looking to get involved in some creative musical projects.

Romane's Experience

I worked on several festivals production : Musiques en Stock 2016, Dour Festival 2017 / 2018… In 2018, I was in charge of organising an open-air concert concert in tribute to Marvin Gaye with Ben l’Oncle Soul & Ayo – coordination, administration and logistics. I am currently working for two world jazz musicians : Samy Thiébault (Paris) and Stracho Temelkovski (Grenoble), in charge of the administration and production of their concerts & other projects.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
